I hate being at the front end of a camera; it feels like I'm standing in the path of a high-speed bullet train. So, I try to stay behind the viewfinder where it's nice and safe. I enjoy travel; from early childhood I was ruined by exposure to geographic and travel magazines, and the two-and-a-half ton Collier's encyclopedia set which occupied the top row of my dad's handmade bookshelf. Only the pictures made sense.
My life today is a chase to re-capture that sense of wonder at the width of the world I found in those dog-eared magazine pages.
